Herbal Prescriptions By Dr. Albin

When you have a treatment with Dr. Albin you receive a personalized diagnosis, treatment plan and acupuncture treatment.  Dr. Albin may also prescribe a personalized herbal formula for your unique condition and situation. 

Forms of Herbs

Herbal formulas come in either pill, granule or loose form.  Most herbal formulas prescribed by Dr. Albin are in pill form.  However, often times it is necessary to personalize the herbal formula further.  In this case, Dr. Albin prescribes a granule form of herbs taken as a tea.

What Can I Expect?

Chinese herbal formuls are not like western drugs.  Western drugs take effect quickly but may produce side effects as a result.  Since Chinese herbs are balanced, they do not elicit harsh side effects, but may take longer to achieve the desired results. 

All herbal formulas must be taken consistently and in proper dosage.  Though side effects are rare, everyone is unique and they may happen.  Please be sure to call Dr. Albin immediately if you experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness or any other undesired effects from your herbal formula.
